Southampton Climate Change Conversations is an event organised by the University of Southampton and Dangerous Ideas Southampton to promote community action on climate change. It will take place on Friday 27th November from 6pm at the University of Southampton – Lecture Theatre 3001, Building 46 Physics, Highfield Campus, SO17 1BJ.

This is happening in the run up to COP21, the United Nations’ Climate Change Conference in Paris. The evening will include talks, a director’s introduction and screening of a new climate change film, music from Grant Sharkey, a panel discussion, information stalls, refreshments and plenty of opportunity to discuss how Southampton can become a more sustainable city. The event will be chaired by James Dyke, from the University of Southampton.

Tickets for this event are free and are available via Eventbrite.

The idea of this site is to provide a directory of resources related to climate change and sustainability. This will include links to academic research, information on community projects and opinion pieces. It is hoped they will spark ideas for discussion during the event and provide the knowledge and impetus for future climate change conversations and actions. It will be updated regularly and all comments and suggestions are welcome!
